Do the Inspection Before You Load the Trailer
Glamis is one of the worst places to discover a weak belt, marginal battery, cooling problem or loose suspension component. A pre-trip inspection gives you time to repair problems in Phoenix instead of losing a weekend in the dunes.

High-Priority Glamis Problems
Belt & clutch: Sand places heavy load on the CVT. If you have belt smell, poor engagement, inconsistent RPM or a history of failures, address it before the trip.
Cooling: A machine that already runs hot in Phoenix can become a much bigger problem under sustained dune load.
Suspension & steering: Small amounts of play become more noticeable when the machine is being driven hard over chopped-up terrain.
Battery & electrical: Weak batteries and messy accessory wiring can turn into intermittent no-start or charging issues when you are far from the trailer.
Sand Setup & Upgrades

What should I inspect before a Glamis trip?
At minimum, inspect the belt/CVT, cooling system, battery, fluids, brakes, wheel bearings, suspension, tires, steering and accessory wiring.
Can you install sand tires or paddles?
Yes. Call with the machine, current wheel/tire setup and what you plan to run in the dunes so fitment can be reviewed.
Can you check a modified RZR or Can-Am before Glamis?
Yes. Tell us about tunes, clutching, exhaust, intake, tire size and other modifications because they affect what should be inspected.
What is the free diagnostic offer?
